Fill Your Mind With The Word
When your body is in pain or you've received a diagnosis our natural reaction is fear. It doesn't take long for symptoms to consume our thoughts, holding us captive to injury, illness, or disease.
But things change when we fix our eyes on Jesus by filling our mind with what the Bible says.
PILLOWS OF PROMISE WERE FIRST DESIGNED AS A GIFT.
Creator of Pillows of Promise, Kay Kennedy, designed the very first pillow for her own mother, Betty.
Betty was diagnosed with a tumor on her pituitary gland forty years ago. After a successful surgery to remove the tumor, she received the news years later that she would need to have radiation to stop the growth of the returning tumor.
Kay knew she wanted to give her mother something tangible to hold onto and remind her of God’s Truth about healing.
That’s when she designed a pillow with a pocket in the back to hold a book full of God’s promises on healing. When fear would creep in, Betty would read the promises of healing from God’s Word to encourage her heart and keep her eyes focused on Jesus.

WHAT OTHERS HAVE SAID ABOUT PILLOWS OF PROMISE
The Power of Testimony
Pillows of Promise is relaunching after 21 years. Kay created her first pillow in 2004 when her mother was diagnosed with a growing pituitary tumor. Fifteen hundred pillows were sold that year, but changes with the manufacturer prevented more pillows from being made and sold.
Yet, the idea never left Kay. Every time she heard of a friend or family member struggling with their health, she wanted to able to give them a pillow and a book full of God's promises.
A few years ago, a woman came up to share her story with Kay at a church service. She purchased the original pillow more than twenty years ago when she needed a miracle. After the birth of her fourth daughter, complications with the pregnancy left her unable to walk for 2 years. She began to read the Scriptures over her body, and soon she began to walk again. Standing in front of Kay with her husband and daughter, Kay received the confirmation she needed that it was time to offer Pillows of Promise again.
This time, each pillow is hand-made. While sewing each pillow, Kay prays over the people who will hold onto the pillow and speak God's Word over their bodies. Our prayer is that as you fix your eyes on Jesus, you"ll receive healing from the only one who heals: Jesus.
